Fishing Fishing Fishing Camp

What better way to spend your summer then to fish in local waterways around and on Bretton Woods with a fishing extraordinaire? Four-time runner up and one time state champion Junior Bassmaster and now professional fishing guide, Tanner Craig will lead campers during this weeklong camp and teach them how to properly prepare fishing gear, make their own pole out of bamboo, what bait is best to use and where to find it, where fish love to hide, and much more! Fishing camp is a great way for campers to fully experience their love for fishing or to discover a new passion.

All fishing gear will be provided. It will be best to practice your new skills on your own equipment if you have it.

Lunch will be provided, and bus transportation will be available. There will also be an optional Thursday overnight for any camper that wants to extend the fun during the late-stay hours for an additional cost.

Wild Child Camp

Nationally recognized Bush craft, Primitive Skills, and Wilderness Survival Instructor Jason Drevenak is teaming up with Bretton Woods to offer an awesome summer camp week!

Campers will learn and practice the Fundamental 5: shelter, fire, water and food, navigation, and signaling. An understanding of these 5 topics is essential to being prepared in any wilderness situation.

Campers will watch, learn, and practice skills associated with each of these topics along with fun games and team building exercises. Campers will also have free swim time and use the ropes course.

Lunch will be provided, and bus transportation will be available.

There will also be an optional Thursday overnight where campers can put what they have learned all week to the test for an additional cost.

Mountain Biking Camp

The Mountain Biking Camp at Bretton Woods is specially designed for children aged 9 - 13 years old. This program will help develop beginner, intermediate and advanced mountain biking skills including steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, trail etiquette, maintenance, safety and more. Campers will ride in the morning, have lunch, then get back on the bikes in the afternoon for more trail exploration.

Campers will be placed in groups of beginners, intermediate and advanced to ensure they are riding with other campers of the same ability level.

Campers will need to bring their own bikes and helmets from home, and we can store them for the week at Bretton Woods.

Other activities the campers will do is free swim once a day in the afternoon at 3pm.

Lunch and snacks are provided.

Wellness Camp

A camp where kids learn skills for reducing stress, valuing and accepting who they are, and respecting themselves and others. This camp will help you for managing the stress, anxiety, and challenges that come with school. Whether it's coming from academics, social, or mental health, expect to come away with specific tools and strategies for a successful school year ahead!

Camp activities include mindful movement, yoga, meditation, journaling, relaxation, and arts & crafts. Held outdoors or indoors on the beautiful Bretton Woods grounds, kids will connect with nature and themselves for peace and harmony.

This Mindfulness Camp will take lessons we learn in our yoga and mindfulness practice and expand on them to a full week of activities.

  • Activity: archery, paddle boarding, partner yoga, mat yoga, aerial yoga, nature hike, ropes course

Private Adventure Pods

This program is like the regular Adventure Camp as the activities that are offered are the same. It is significantly different as you have the ability to select the activities that you want. We will customize everything to match the interests and skills of your group. This program is flexible. Activities that you might consider include tubing, canoeing, paddle boarding, a ropes course, primitive skills, and archery. Additional activities can be included or removed in this interest - driven adventure. We can also offer and teach nature crafts, games, slingshots, pedal cart racing, campfire cooking, map and compass navigation and mountain biking (you must bring your own bikes). Personalized and individualized, the Private Adventure Camp will adapt to your interests and expectations! The activities last all day from 9:30 to 4:00pm.

Lunch is included.

Bus transportation will also be available.

*If there are not enough campers signed up for a certain bus stop, that bus stop may be removed from the route. If the bus stop is removed, campers will have the option to select a different bus stop on that route.

*If you register for camp after 6pm on Wednesday through the website/email/over the phone, there is no spot guaranteed on the bus.

*Bus times may vary due to weather, traffic, etc. If there are bus delays that are more than ten minutes, parents will be notified via email. 

There will also be an optional Thursday overnight (9 and up) or late stay (8 and under) for an additional cost.
