Bus and Car Drop off and Pick up

Travel to and from BWRC

Car Riders:

Please wait in your vehicles in the drop off / pick up area. Staff will meet you at your car for program sign in/out. Please call or email if you are running late. Staff members will release your camper only to those authorized individuals who are listed on their Camper Health Forms (Emergency Contact). They will not honor verbal instructions given to them by an unauthorized individual who may arrive to pick up your camper. If you have an emergency, please contact the Camp Director regarding the situation and notify them as to who will be picking up the camper. Any changes (additions or removals) of authorized persons for pick up must be made in writing to the Camp Director.

Bus Riders:

Please be aware that the scheduled times may vary if traffic makes the bus early or late, and that all campers should plan to be at the bus stop 10 minutes early. The Camp Office will communicate, via email, advanced warning if a bus is running late, early, or any other situation that may impact the transportation schedule. The bus also cannot wait more than 5 minutes during the morning or afternoon trips, as this will impact the entire route. If you are late to the bus stop, please go to the next stop on the route to drop off. For pick up, the bus will wait until a parent arrives. The bus counselor will have a parent contact number and will be reaching out to you if you are late as well as the Camp Director.

If a parent is late to a pickup, the bus driver will keep the camper on the bus, notify the Camp Office, which will then notify the parents to arrange pick-up. No rider will ever be left unattended or without a designated adult to pick them up.

 Early Pick-Up Policy:

There may be situations that arise when your camper will need to be picked up early. Some situations include but not limited to the camper is sick and has a doctor appointment, the camper is exhibiting aggressive behaviors that are a safety concern to himself/herself or other participants, the camper has been injured, etc. If your camper must be picked up before the end of the program, the Camp Director will contact you directly and request you pick up your camper early. It is the responsibility of the parents to be available for these phone calls and to pick up your camper promptly. If you cannot be reached, the Camp Director will call the camper’s emergency contact to come pick up the camper.
